Savriti was known for her hospitality, philanthropic gestures, and her love of buying property and jewellery, but she kept little control of her spending. Ganesan continued to philander and she was susceptible to favouring hangers-on with her largesse. Her career took a downturn in the late 1960s. Her properties were seized by tax officials and she turned to acting in any film that would have her, while sycophants encouraged her to direct and produce films that were unsuccessful and financially draining. Among her few supporters during her financial difficulties was, who used her in most of his films, such as (1979), and specifically made (1978) as a movie for her.
Her only Malayalam film was the unsuccessful (1973). Death Savitri died on 26 December 1981, at the age of 45 and after being in a coma for 19 months. She had been an for many years, having begun drinking heavily in 1969, and developed and high blood pressure. Contents. Plot Savitri is crazy about getting married right from her childhood days. In fact, she was born during their family relative's marriage. With this being her sole aim, she convinces her family to find a good groom for her.
Her family decides to get Savitri married to Rishi , although both of them are not aware of this decision. While on her way to Shiridi, Savitri meets Rishi, who instantly falls in love with her even though she is not interested. Due to some circumstances, both of them miss the train. During their journey back to catch the train, Rishi tells his family that he is not interested in marrying the girl they fixed as he is in love with someone else now. Later Rishi finds out that Savitri was the one he was going to marry. He explains the mistake he made to savitri's father which he does not agree.
